Yahoo Mail
Prepare a Yahoo app password before opening the Transactions mailbox form.
1. Generate an app password
- Sign in to Yahoo Account Security for the mailbox that receives your alerts.
- Find External connections and choose Create app password. Depending on your account's interface, this may be labeled Generate app password or Generate and manage app passwords.
- Follow the prompts, using
FinOpsBricks Transactionsas the app name when requested. - Copy the generated password for the mailbox form.
Follow Yahoo's app-password instructions if the menu differs. If generation is unavailable, use Yahoo's help to resolve it before continuing.
2. Connect in Transactions
Open Settings → Mailboxes → Connect mailbox and enter:

Yahoo requires the full email address for login and publishes these details in its official IMAP settings.
Select Connect mailbox, then check your first import.
If the connection fails
Confirm you generated the app password for the same Yahoo address entered in the form and copied it accurately. If it has been revoked, create a replacement and reconnect. For folder or network errors, use the IMAP troubleshooting guide.
